This is a Windows executable with a graphical interface that allows to create and run GoalBit broadcasters as Windows services (processes in the background). It allows to choose the video source along with other options with ease.
1. Run a broadcaster
When the dialog appears, don't get scared! You do not have to configure the options you don't know what are them for, just:
- Channel name.
- Starter Suite URL (for example http://192.168.102.1/startersuite). Check the box to register it in the Starter Suite!
- Input. Choose one of those options.
- Log into file.
2. Run Super Peers
Super Peers are for supporting the stream, according to the GoalBit architecture. They should be run in a computer with a high upload bandwith. Each Super Peer is an independent thread and can talk to up to 50 peers (viewers).
3. Run a professional Broadcaster
Professional broadcasters are those that communicate with the GoalBit Professional Suite.
To install it, you must specify:
- The announce URL of the Professional Suite (an example is given).
- Port and IPs where not to listen for connections (just take the default values!).
- Routes to each one of the files involved in the certification.
- Input to broadcast.
- Log (optional).
4. Run a professional Controller
Professional controllers can run multiple peers that interact with the GoalBit Professional Suite and can have several capabilities.
